Today we honor Martin Luther King Jr., and his extraordinary vision and leadership to move a nation towards a more just society, calling for civil and economic rights and an end to racism in the United States. Dr. King was also passionate about equal rights for access to healthcare, and in 1966 he addressed the second convention of the Medical Committee for Human Rights, declaring “Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health is the most shocking and inhumane."
Fifty years later ,Trillium Health is proud of our work to ensure access to healthcare for all by creating an environment where everyone is accepted and welcomed into care. Today and every day we are committed to eliminating health disparities and share Dr. King’s hope for a nation that is built on equity for all.
