I’m not symptomatic, why should I still get tested?

Everyone who is sexually active should get tested. Even it you’re not experiencing any symptoms, you can still transmit STIs to your sex partners. It's important to use protection and get tested on a regular basis.

Does having an STI increase my risk of HIV?

Having an active STI, or even a history of certain STIs, can make it easier to acquire or transmit HIV. That's why we encourage everyone to get tested. It's important to know your status to protect yourself and others.
